District Deputy Grand Master's Visit to Rescue Lodge No. 772

The Right Worshipful James Kelley, District Deputy Grand Master for the Essex District, will make his official visit to Rescue Lodge No. 772 on Wednesday, January 6th, at 7:30pm.

Masonic Funeral Service for Roy Sandberg of Fraternal Lodge

There will be a Masonic Service for Roy Sandberg at R.W. Walker Funeral Home at 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh, on Monday, December 21st, at 1:00pm. Fraternal Lodge is organizing the Service. Master Dick Wood is coordinating and can be contacted at (518) 563-4181.

First Degree Rehearsal at Rescue Lodge this Sunday Evening

The rehearsal for the First Degree at Rescue Lodge No. 772 has been rescheduled for Sunday evening, December 20th, at 6:00pm. There will be a dinner followed by the rehearsal.

Tonight's First Degree rehearsal at Rescue Lodge No. 772 has been cancelled due to illness among a few key players. The rehearsal is tentatively rescheduled for Sunday evening, December 20th, at 6:00pm.

First Degree Rehearsal at Rescue Lodge No. 772

There will be a rehearsal for the First Degree at Rescue Lodge No. 772 this Wednesday evening, December 16th. Participants will meet at 6:00pm for dinner, followed by the rehearsal. The Worshipful Scott Manning, Junior Warden, will be conferring the degree, tentatively scheduled for February 2010.

Next Meeting Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 9th

Just a reminder that the next regular communication for Mount Defiance Lodge No. 794 is tomorrow evening, Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:30pm. This will be the only lodge meeting in December due to the holidays.

Next Wednesday, December 16th, at 6:00pm, Rescue Lodge No. 772 in Crown Point will hold a rehearsal for a first degree scheduled for February 2010. Those taking part will have dinner at 6:00pm followed by the rehearsal.

Rescue Lodge No. 772 in Crown Point is planning to hold a first degree on Wednesday, February 3rd. A first rehearsal for the degree is scheduled for Wednesday, December 16th.

Pumpkin Pie at Heritage Commons

Brothers from Mount Defiance and Rescue Lodges served pumpkin pie and Cool Whip to the residents at Heritage Commons earlier this afternoon. Apologies for the poor quality of the photo, which shows Doug Buckland (Rescue Lodge) and Ray Ellor (Mount Defiance Lodge).

Just a reminder that Brothers from Mount Defiance and Rescue Lodges will be serving "Pumpkin Pie and Cool Whip" to the residents of Heritage Commons on Saturday, November 21st, at 2pm. All Brothers are invited to participate--plan to arrive at 1:45pm.

Also a reminder that due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there will be no Lodge meeting on Wednesday, November 25th.

Mount Defiance Lodge arrives in the blogosphere

Yesterday the most recent issue of the View from Mount Defiance, the lodge newsletter, went out by email. Today, Mount Defiance Lodge's newsletter committee launches this blog and has created a page on Facebook to keep Brothers informed and updated in between newsletters.

This first post will serve as a reminder of the "Pumpkin Pie and Cool Whip" event at Heritage Commons this Saturday, November 21st, at 2:00pm. Brothers from Mount Defiance and Rescue Lodges are invited to participate as we serve the residents pie and whipped topping in advance of Thanksgiving.
